Visit to Beth Chatto Gardens

The Society teamed up with the Orton Waterville Village Group for a joint visit to Beth Chatto Gardens near Colchester. The Gardens were formed in 1960, and are comprised of plants that need little or no irrigation in that area of well drained soil. The gardens cover seven acres and undulate from garden to garden beside four lakes and we were very lucky to enjoy the best weather of the year so far in such lovely surroundings.
